The six fields, and the log

The form has six boxes: your first name, your surname, a telephone number, an email address, which job it is about, and room to describe it. Behind the page the web server writes its own record of each request, the IP address it arrived from, the browser string, the page asked for and the time. That is the whole of the collection. There is no account to open, no password, and nothing that follows you from one visit to the next.

What it gets used for

Four uses and no fifth. Answering you within 1 business day. Booking a time to come out, which is the only reason a phone number is asked for. Measuring the job and writing the figure down. Then keeping the job record, the mix, the base depth, the joint spacing, so that a guarantee question years later can still be answered from paper. Nothing is sold on to anybody, and there is no advertising here that it could be feeding.

Who it goes to

Inside the business, two sets of eyes: whoever measured the lot, and the men booked to pour it. Outside, the suppliers behind the hosting, the mailbox and the phone number, none of whom may do anything with it beyond what they are told. And a public body where the law says so, because a job address goes onto a permit application through the city's Civic Portal. That is the whole list. None of it is sold.

Cookies, and what is absent

This site writes nothing to your machine. It runs no analytics, carries no advertising pixel, records no sessions, and pulls in nothing whatever from a company whose trade is following people about, so there has never been a consent banner on it to click away. Two things hand you off: the street address opens whichever map app the phone uses, and the review names at the bottom lead to Google, Facebook and the BBB. From there their policy governs, not this one.

How long any of it is kept

Three periods, all chosen by this business rather than required of it. An inquiry nobody took further is wiped 18 months on from its last message, a winter and a spring, roughly how long people take over a decision of this size. A job that was built is kept ten years, because a guarantee raised in year eight has to be answered from the pour record, and the invoice sits with it. The server log is cleared at 60 days.

What you can ask for

Four requests are open to any California resident: show me what you have, put it right, get rid of it, or leave me alone. Each is done inside 45 days of being asked. STOP on a text stops the texts; ask on the phone and the phone stops too. The rights are the CCPA's as amended by the CPRA, and they include not being treated any worse for having used one, which the state Attorney General publishes in full. Ring or email the office.

This is a site for adults

Signing for a new driveway or a footing means owning the property, or acting on behalf of whoever does, so nothing on this site is aimed at a child and nothing is knowingly taken from one. Should a form turn out to have been sent by somebody under 18, that entry is destroyed unanswered. A parent who suspects as much can ring the office and it gets checked the same day.

If this policy changes

This policy would need rewriting the day an analytics tag went onto the site, or a retention period was shortened. The dated version you are reading is the one in force now, and there is no mailing list to announce a change through, so the date at the top is the thing to look at.
